Rosatom to Unveil New Opportunities for Suppliers at ATOMEX Forum

19.11.2018

The 10th International Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers ATOMEX 2018 will take place at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Complex in Moscow on 3–4 December. The event is being organized by State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and is aimed at attracting new suppliers to the global nuclear industry and increase awareness among suppliers of procurement issues. ATOMEXPO LLC will act as the operator of the Forum.

The ATOMEX 2018 business programme will include round tables, tracks from key Rosatom divisions, masterclasses for Russian and foreign suppliers of equipment, work and services, presentations by suppliers and individual meetings between suppliers and customers in the B2B format.

The business programme kicks off with the round table discussion “Building NPPs in Russia and Abroad: Project Status and Supplier Capabilities.” Forum participants will learn about the programme for the construction of Russian-designed NPPs, including the stages and completion schedules of current projects, as well as the requirements for contractors and the terms and conditions for organizing tender procedures and key procurements for 2019–2020. Speakers will include representatives from State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, JSC ASE EC, Rusatom Energo International, Akkuyu Nükleer and JSC Concern Titan-2.

The round table “Typification of NPP Products” will include reports on the typification of products, engineering solutions and equipment characteristics in the construction of NPPs in the Russian Federation and abroad. Experts from the Engineering Division at Rosatom and JSC ASE EC will share their experience in developing standard technical specifications for NPP equipment and contracting equipment for a series of power units that are currently under construction. In turn, representatives of supplier companies will talk about the benefits and problem areas in the manufacture equipment series and fulfilling long-term contracts. In addition to representatives from State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, delegates from JSC HYDROMASHSERVICE, JSC TYAZHMASH, Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), among others, have also been invited to participate in the round table.

The planned increase in the construction of NPPs requires Rosatom to improve its effectiveness, not only at enterprises that belong to the state corporation, but also at supplier and contractor companies. Rosatom launched a new area of activities this year – the “Development of the Rosatom Production System (RPS) for Suppliers.” The RPS Development Centre is responsible for this task and will, in conjunction with the Department for Methodology and Procurement Organization of Rosatom, hold a round table for suppliers.

The ATOMEX 2018 programme also includes the round table “Financial Instruments for Supporting Suppliers” with the participation of the Credit Bank of Moscow, Sovcombank and other representatives of the banking community. The round tables will address such pressing issues for suppliers as online bank guarantees and factoring financing.

There will also be an exhibition of existing and potential supplier companies at the Forum venue. Information on the Rosatom procurement system and the procurement programmes of each Rosatom division will be available in digital format at the stand hosted jointly by Rosatom and its divisions. Interested parties can sign up for B2B meetings and master classes at the stand.
