Atomex – North-West

The conference «Atomex – North-West»

A regional forum of Nuclear Industry "Atomex – North-West" conference to be held, which includes:

 

  • plenary session
  • breakout sessions
  • roundtables
  • performance of suppliers of products and services to nuclear industry

 

The conference will deal with topical issues for the dynamic development of nuclear energy, and in particular for the development of the North-West region.

 

The conference agenda includes a discussion of these topics:

 

  • actual changes in the procurement system of the nuclear industry;
  •  nuclear and power engineering;
  • providing supplies and technical requirements for equipment for the construction of Baltic Nuclear Power Plant;
  • providing supplies and technical requirements for equipment for the construction of Leningrad NPP;
  • technical requirements for equipment for facilities handling radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel and other objects of the North-West region.

The Forum will take place on a technical tour to the existing Leningrad NPP.

 

Technical Tour

 

For those wishing to April 19, 2012 will be organized technical tour with a visit to Leningrad nuclear power plant operating. Seats are limited.

 

Leningrad NPP is situated 80 km west of St. Petersburg on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. The station includes four RBMK unit of electrical capacity of 1000 MW each.

Leningrad NPP-2 will be located 2 km from the Leningrad nuclear power plant operating. Provides for construction of four VVER-1200 power 1170 MW each. Estimated life of Leningrad NPP-2 - 50 years, the basic equipment - 60 years.
