RASU to Hold “I&C Systems for Nuclear Power Plants: Challenges, Prospects and Requirements” Roundtable at ATOMEX

Rusatom Automated Control Systems (JSC RASU, a State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom company) is set to hold the round table meeting “I&C Systems for Nuclear Power Plants: Challenges, Prospects and Requirements” during the opening day of the 10th International Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers ATOMEX 2018 at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Complex in Moscow on December 3. The round table will be held in the Forum’s Workshop Area.

The company has been designated the responsible organization for process automation systems for nuclear power plants and ensuring the compliance of goods and processes of suppliers of critically important products with international certification requirements and quality standards under international contracts on the construction and commissioning of nuclear power plants both inside Russia and abroad.  

Representatives of the industry integrator, as well as existing and potential partners of State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, will discuss such issues as: how to fulfill the enormous volume of obligations undertaken; what needs to be done in the nearest future; and the challenges that all participants in foreign NPP construction projects will have to face.  

JSC RASU representatives invited to speak at the event include: First Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Director for Project Management Mikhail Malinin; Deputy Technical Officer – Director of the Technical Inspection and Compliance Department Aleksei Zyatnikov; Director of Procurement and Assembly Dmitry Lavneyev; and Chief Operational Excellence Officer Evgeny Khudobin. Chief Designer at JSC SNIIP Sergei Chebyshov will talk about the specifics of using innovative and modernizing process automation systems, while Rolls-Royce Client Manager Yana Kubinova will share her experience in ensuring the compliance of Russian security systems for process automation systems with EU standards and requirements.    

The discussion will be moderated by Oleg Trifonov, head of the product marketing group of the industry integrator for process automation systems.

The speakers at the round table will answer questions on pressing issues and talk about how companies in the nuclear sector plan to execute existing contracts, the competencies that need to be developed and what needs to be changed in order to become a participant in NPP construction projects abroad.
